Statue of King George IV, King of Great Britain and Ireland
(and Hanover) from 1820 until his death in 1830. This statue of the creator of
the Brighton Royal Pavilion was raised by public subscription in October 1828
and is now his memorial.
Memorial to ‘Casey,’ also known as ‘Taffy One Penny’ because
of the amount he would beg for. Casey was in his 40s when he died in January
2016 and this tribute at the base of the Clock Tower in the centre of Brighton is his
memorial.
